A nice well made Egyptian stone mace head.

In a brown banded travertin . The perforation is as it should be for good hafting on a wooden stick, narrower at the top than at the bottom. That said it was most likely a votive funerary  or ceremonial item rather than a weapon to be used.

It is approx 40mm high and approx 45mm broad at the top.

Egyptian  Pre-dynastic  circa 3500 BC
