Is it vanity that impells me to copy and paste these messages here? Well there is no point in not selecting at least some messages where I am mentioned! This is a "testimonial" page after all.
These are from the yahoo discussion forum which, though sometimes rather polemical and "off topic" is nevertheless a place and group of people, fellow collectors, who are constantly talking about antiquities and the forgeries and fakes which flood the market.
Hilde wrote (edited/shortened) This group can be divided in - grosso modo - two categories. People who know about ancient artifacts (either by studying archeology, ancient art, or something equivalent or by having acquired a practical knowledge throughout the years) and those who are here to learn about it. Of course these two categories are often overlapping each other as very few people have nothing to learn anymore. You can know a lot about Greek pottery but this does not necessarily mean that you know everything about Babylonian seals. I myself belong to the second category. I have always liked history and archeology, but until I discovered ebay I was quite convinced that ancient artifacts could only be found at some museum or in some high shot's private collection. So when I discovered Ebay and its antiquities' section a whole world opened itself to me. I was very lucky to stumble on Bron and his link to the ancient artifacts group on the same day Tim listed an "authentic" fake royal shabti. I really felt like someone in "Jaws" being rescued from the great white at the very last miniute. I am utterly greatful to those members who so very kindly invested their time and let me share their knowledge. I am quite indebted to Rolf, Jason, Tim, Bron, Gene, Dr g, Ben, and so many others which I fail to name here, because they teach us - without any personal gain - the difference between real and fake, good sellers and fake sellers. Especially Rolf is - in my experience - always ready to explain even very obvious things sometimes with a politeness , thoroughness and patience that can only be admired. I 've never inquired about his studies and I am not interested in his PhD 's. If he knows what he knows having finished kinder garten, well that is OK to me.
I hope this group has been as instructive to you as it is to me. I wish you all the best. ............................................................................................................ From Albert 24th August 2005
I bought from Collector Antiquities a stupendous Gladiator oil lamp with a gladiator fighting. This gladiator oil lamp is exceptional. It has a lovely sense of sudden movement. That is unusual in gladiator lamps which are often rather stolid.
The price was most reasonable with respect of the range of prices on the market, from $ 1'250 to $ 3'200. Regarding the prices for these pieces, the market is totally anarchic. One most be extremely cautious.
21st December 2005 Hi Bron, We Think you are doing a great job. Your site is excellent, and will continue to grow. It has been a pleasure to deal with you. We have been most pleased with the pieces you have provided. Hope you have a happy Christmas and a great new year! Paul and Charlotte Paul and charlotterose
Thanks. :o) It's really a pleasure to find so many people who share my passion for ancient things.
On this occasion, I made searches on gladiators, and to my stupefaction I read that female gladiators existed. When one buys an item with love and real interest, he increases incredibly his knowledge.
Thanks Albert!
From Indynickycat 20th april 2005 From the Yahoo group Ffirst off all I would like to express my sincere thanks to brondavid for including the link to this list in his ebay-aution. If only I found it sooner.... by reading the usefull comments and warnings it looks i've become the proud owner of some authentic fakes. Well, what's done is done, I've learned my lesson and will try not to get my sudden Egyptomania get the better of me :-) I do have two "iffy's" I would like to get this lists' opinion on, so if anyone would humour me? http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7313581182&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT By checking the payment out I noticed that the payment was listed to Soledad Imports, also behind nyct_pref, although I dealt with entirely different names/email-addresses. Kind regards, Indynickycat The Netherlands
Hi, Pleased that I have been instrumental in halting the decline... hopefully not too late! Have look here

In the past few years I have had the pleasure of a number of dealings with Dr Bron. With unfailing courtesy and help he has enabled me to build up a small but very select collection of antiquities of various types and ages. This had been a wish of mine for a long time but I was deterred by excessive prices and a feeling of concern about advice and items being genuine. All of that was put to rest when I met Bron; he has given me excellent advice from his wide ranging knowledge, has restrained me from making mistakes and has found particular items for me. I can trust him absolutely and his prices are realistic. In return I am delighted to give him a testimonial for his new website and would recommend anybody to deal with him in total confidence. In particular I am drawn to his attitude that antiquities are to be seen and enjoyed, not hidden away in a never visited basement. Norman London. May 2005.
Thanks Norman. The cheque is in the post.
This is Norman's first serious acquisition from me. How will I ever find you a bronze any finer?! :o)
From worsjor1 I don't know if this cartoon would be appropriate for the testimonials section...." thanks Bron; for saving me from the fraudsters, keep up the good fight!...Jorge
Oh...very!
Thanks! Bron.

A few words about Bron's new website.
I knew Bron last year through his listings on eBay. During this time I have had the pleasure of a significant number of dealings with him. In these transactions he has revealed to me as the honest seller I know in eBay and outside this forum.
He has sold to me : rings, glass, keys, pins, coins, earrings, intaglios,......... all of them genuine and wonderful. However, he is not only a seller for me, but really a friend.
The clue for this person is the word that precedes his listings and his website: "COLLECTOR".
He really is, first of all, a COLLECTOR who loves the antiquities he collects, buys, and sells. He will help and orient to you in what you are buying for. Even he will avoid you to buy fakes (as he did with me, avoiding to buy fake core formed glass and introducing me in the yahoo group of ancient artifacts, together with Doris and where many persons like Ben, Tim, and many other aere doing an important work).
His new website is not only a place to sell, but a great source of information to know more about antiquities, their preservation, avoiding fakes and many other utilities. I recomend it to anybody who loves antiquities.
His prices are realistic, and he is the honest seller, because if he buys cheap he also sells cheap. He has given me excellent advice and has found for me particular items. I must mention here my last wonderful adquisition from him, the Roman intaglio shown bellow:
Thanks very much :o) I do appreciate these words. Bron.
Regards, D
The seller of this forgery has removed the images but as it became the property of D, he relisted it!

I am so happy to have found your site and to finally met with some real credibility. I have been the unfortunate victim of "egyptianseller" on e-bay. Everything that he offers has that "too good to be true" look to it, however I, and many, many others have been suckered in to purchasing anyway. My purchase was literally a plaster cast made to look old. The Plaster had that distinct freshly poured smell and it even felt slightly damp as plaster casts can take weeks to fully dry. I am going to use your link to report this guy (Michael Aziz) however I want to get my money back first. I want to pot this bloke, .What he is doing is nothing less than criminal fraud and I told him so. He is making a FORTUNE taking advantage of mugs like me and I am ticked!!!!! Thank you for your absolute honesty and credibility. It is so refreshing and thoroughly appreciated. ..............................................................................................................
19th March 07 I haven't been putting any of the feedback emails on here for a coupple of years! I sort of forgot I had this section! Anyway..........
From Peter
I would like to give a "feedback" to Bron, for his kind and helpfull ways.
I am a new collector from Denmark, and I found Bron's site via his eBay seller id. I contacted Bron and uleashed a Torrent of questions onto him, and to my utter surprise, he took his time and answerd them.
Since then, I have acquired some great items from Bron, but best of all, I now have an collector-friend, to whom I can ask about items, and advice from. And he always delivers !
summa summarum : He is a pleasure to do business with.
Peter Alexander Manthos, Vejle Denmark
Don't mention the telephone number! ;o) Thanks Peter.
Thanks Bron
For several years, I was searching all over the internet for ancient art galleries. I always thought, that there exist only two categories of ancient art dealers, the ones you can't trust, and those, who are reliable indeed, but who ask hair-raising prices for often average articles. When I found Bron's website, my first impression was, that this is a fully reliable seller, and then, I was amazed about how many high grade artifacts he offers in his gallery at absolutely fair prices. Besides that, I have experienced, that Bron is always ready to help, and he shares his great experience and knowledge with his customers in a very kind and obliging manner. I'm sure, Bron doesn't run his gallery for the business, but for the passion in ancient art. I'm already looking forward to the next beautiful objet d'art that I will acquire from Bron.
Marc
Thanks for the nice words Marc.
