These are from my own collection.

A group of Archaic Greek terracotta  votive objects. Probably Corinthian.

This group comes from an old collection and were most likely excavated together: that's what the previous owner had been told.

Such votives are associated with sanctuaries devoted to Demeter and her daughter Kore , otherwise known as Persephone.

Demeter was the goddess of the grain, agriculture, harvest, growth, and nourishment, who presided over grains and the fertility of the earth.

Demeter seated, wearing chiton, himation, and a stephane. 86mm. £395

Cockerel of Kore. (Persphone). (She was Demeter's daughter)  85mm SOLD
