 A very large, handsome, bronze Celtic fibula of a fairly rare type at this size.
 In good metal with a fine very dark green, almost black, patina.
Incised decorative lines at top of  footplate which is rarely seen.
A small area of stabilised corrosion on one side.
120mm x 69mm

Ref:  Fruh- und altereisenzeitliche Fibeln in Bulgarien' Gergova, Diana (1987)
Type: Zweischleifige Bogenfibeln B 12y
Similar to 125 as published above.
The B 12y brooches are dated by Gergova to Ha B3,
Beginning of the 7th century B.C. to the middle of the 6th century B.C.
