A charming little black and red mottled terracotta juglet of nice proportions.
To the east of Etruria and the Greek colonies, in the area known as Daunian, the native Italic peoples produced their own distinctive ceramic wares between the 6th and 4th centuries B.C. The Daunian potters had their own distinctive style , though this piece borrows from the Greek style.
