'The small wood piece with a woman standing to the right is about 5 inches high and about 2 and half or three inches wide,  it looks to me like a kind of stucco or small wood layer over the main wood, but I'm not sure,  I won this piece on eBay from a man from Germany' 

This is a copy from the right hand side of a papayrus section from the Book of the Dead for Anhay in the British Museum. See HERE.

Quite likely made by using a page from the published book of reproductions.

Or maybe they  bought one of these framed reproductions , took it out and pasted on the wood.
