Although it has been found near an antic Greek obol of Marseille, we are unsure of the authenticity of this amulet (patina,suspension ring and tie are unusual for this kind of antic object).
Could you help me to determine if it is an modern fake, or an genuine old artifact?

Not ever seen one like this actually. Not with a loop like that.  But surely must have existed.

Of course even if found with a Greek obol of Marseille  (the Greek colony Massalia) the form is rather Roman: it's not  in any way Greek.
